Obituary of Louis Edward Pangaro Jr.
On Sunday, November 17th, 2024, Louis E. Pangaro Jr, a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Randolph, NJ, surrounded by family. He was 80 years old.
Louis (Lou) was born on May 22, 1944, in Passaic, NJ, to Louis and Rose (Novatczyk) Pangaro. He graduated from Pope Pius XII High School in 1963 and received his bachelor’s degree from Seaton Hall University in 1969.
Lou spent his retirement years dedicating himself to his family and community. He was a past lieutenant governor and a member of Kiwanis International for over 50 years. During his time with Kiwanis, he received multiple awards and recognitions. He served as the chairman of the Advisory Board for the Salvation Army in Dover, New Jersey, and was appointed to various committees for the Township of Randolph, NJ.
Lou lived with heart disease for many years but was diagnosed with vascular dementia six years before his death. Despite his illnesses, Lou enjoyed spending time with his family, including his most recent trip to Niagara Falls to celebrate his 80th birthday. At home, he was always comforted by the presence of his pets, Penny and Laila. Lou’s ability to enjoy life through illness was partly due to the excellent care he received from his health aides, Aime and Cynthia.
Lou is preceded in death by his father, Louis E. Pangaro Sr, and his mother, Rose. He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie (Pearlman) Pangaro, and their two children, Pamela and Nathaniel, as well as his three sons, Louis (Donna) Pangaro III, James (Brenda) Pangaro, and Robert (Melanie) Pangaro, and their mother Nina (Bebe) Pangaro. He is also survived by his sister Katherine (Ron) and their son Ryan. Lou leaves behind grandchildren Amanda, Sydney, Gabriella, Lorissa, Maddox, Paige, Mikaela, Naomi, Jason and Marcus.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 NJ-10 Randolph, NJ. Memorial Visitation with the family will be from 1:00PM to 2:00PM, followed by a Memorial Service of Lou’s life from 2:00PM to 3:00PM.
