Obituary of Jeffrey M Winkler

Please share a memory of Jeffrey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jeffrey Winkler, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away in his home, embracing his wife, and leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. Born and raised in Camden, NJ, Jeffrey grew up in Collingswood alongside his parents, Anneliese and William Winkler and his four siblings, Monica, Michael, Evelyn and Edward. An avid athlete, he excelled in baseball, basketball, football, and hockey during his youth.

After graduating, Jeffrey served in the Army National Guard for two years before embarking on a career in security at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia, where he cherished the memories of sporting events. His determination and ambition led him to Picatinny Arsenal, where he rose through the ranks to become a Program Analyst, collaborating closely with military personnel.

Jeffrey met his future wife, Jacqueline Deacon, through her father, and they were married on September 24, 1988. They welcomed their first son, Shane, on February 5, 1990, and later moved to Milford, PA, to build their family. A devoted father, Jeffrey was actively involved in his 3 children’s lives and nurtured their passions well into their adulthood.

In retirement, he enjoyed playing golf and rarely missed a Phillies or Eagles game. While many admired his intelligence, it was his loyalty and deep capacity for love that truly defined him. Jeffrey was the epitome of a great husband, dad, son, grandfather, uncle, nephew, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jeff is survived by his sons, Shane and Beau, siblings Monica, Michael, Evelyn, and Edward, among many nieces and nephews.
