Obituary of Susan Dinkowitz Iversen

Please share a memory of Susan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Susan Dinkowitz Iversen of Jefferson Township, -better known as “Dink” “Suz” or “Suzie” passed away on May 12, 2024, at the age of 57 after a lifelong battle with chronic gastrointestinal issues. Suzie was born on February 13, 1967, into a full family including her parents Carol and Peter, sisters Diane and Christine, and brother Peter Jr. Spending a good part of her childhood in Parsippany, she began her lifelong career as a social butterfly, meeting many of her lifelong friends through school and her neighborhood. She later moved to Mt. Hope during her fourth-grade year, later becoming a very proud alumni of the Morris Knolls Golden Eagles after graduating in 1985. Suzie spent her high school years in tandem with her future husband Chris Iversen, unbeknownst to the two of them. She had a successful career in multiple positions in the financial industry, finishing her career with Vulcan Materials. Susie and Chris were married on September 6, 1998, moving to Lake Shawnee where she and Chris raised two children, Samantha (22) and Ian (17), to whom she would give the world for. Susie also had a huge spot in her heart for her dogs and other pets. Her family grew to include brother-in-laws John, Chris, and Erik, and sisters-in-law Irene and Debbie. Nieces Dana, Jennifer, Danielle, Brynn, Chelsea, Courtney, and Jessica and great niece Emily as well as nephews John Peter, Gregory, Chris Jr., Justin, Devin, and great nephews Bryce, Carson, Anders, and Jacob filled her life with love. Her social circle seemed to be ever growing as she continued through her life. Her light and overflowing energy will be missed from every room.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 3:00PM - 5:00PM and 7:00PM - 9:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com). Susan always believed there needed to be more money, time and research put into gastrointestinal issues. She also had an overflowing heart for animals, especially her dogs. In lieu of flowers the Iversen family asks that you consider donating to the following of the two causes.
