We will miss Flavia with her unbound less energy and cheer both at Mass at Sacred Heart Church and at our Catholic Daughters meetings. Our condolences to her beautiful family on the loss of your Mom and Grandma as well as her recently departed David, another very special person.

We were very sorry to hear of Flavia's untimely passing. A short illness robbed her of her energy. She became a teacher later in life after enjoying the experience of volunteering in an elementary school classroom. Flavia was called upon to substitute for grades K-12 almost daily. Flavia was a legendary baker and cook. She could be depended on to bake banana nut cake, lemon bars and chocolate chip cookie for refreshments for the various organizations where she was an active member. Once a week she prepared dinner for her priest as well as cooking for her family every evening. She was an active knitter as she supplied numerous squares for the College Club quilts. She created baby blankets and wore intricately stitched vests she had made. Comfort comes in knowing those who die in Christ will live eternally. Flavia and David were such an awesome duo. I'd get excited when Flavia would bring us a home cooked meal to Sacred Heart rectory every week, especially when it included eggplant Parm. But her personality and friendship were as delicious as her food. Her cooking was a symbol of the richness and genuineness of her life. It was only a few months when she made me promise to come to her house for dinner or go out with them to celebrate as soon as the pandemic was over. May she now enjoy relish the fruits of her life at the eternal banquet. Fr. Joe Farias
