James (Jim) A. Maraska Sr., age 64, of Randolph, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2020, at home surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer. 

Jim was born on February 2, 1956, in Philadelphia, PA to the late John Maraska and Jane (Keiper) Maraska.  He grew up in Yeadon, PA and graduated from Yeadon High School in 1974 and York College of Pennsylvania in 1978.  Jim resided in Upper Darby with his family and was a volunteer firefighter, including past chief with the Highland Park Fire Company.  He relocated to Randolph, NJ in 1990.  Prior to his retirement, he worked as Sales Manager at The Hanover Insurance Group in Somerset NJ.  Jim also served on the Randolph Township Parks and Traffic Advisory Committees. 

Jim is survived by his wife of 37 years, Monica, son, James A. Maraska Jr. (wife Melinda, Morris Township, NJ), daughter, Joanna Maraska (partner Shawn, Randolph, NJ) and grandson, Cameron James.  He also is survived by three siblings, John Maraska (wife Cheryl), Judith Holler (husband, Fred), Jeffrey Maraska and nieces and nephews, Nathaniel Joel, Bethany, Jill, Alec and Justine. 

Due to COVID-19, services are private and for immediate family only.  Donations made be made in Jim’s memory to the United Way ( https://www.unitedway.org/ ).  Arrangements by Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com)
