Obituary of Paul Joseph Rygiel

Paul Joseph Rygiel -  MASTER MOTIVATOR

Paul was born May 7, 1937 and passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.  He was born in Plainfield and he attended Plainfield High School.  Paul played on their basketball, football, fencing and baseball teams.  He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and was a long time Educator and Coach at Morris Hills High School and Morris Knolls High School.  Mr. Rygiel coached basketball, football, fencing, and baseball at these high schools.  Paul was also a Driver’s Education Teacher for over 40 years. 

Paul is survived by his son Larry; soulmate, Ruth Kazmarick; extended family members; and players and colleagues that he considered family.

Visitation Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (tuttlefh.com) from 12PM - 4:00PM.  Funeral Mass 11:00AM on Monday, November 25, 2019 at St. Lawrence the Martyr Church, Chester.  Interment is private.

Coach Rygiel’s catch phrases included- Show up, shut up, get the job done! Hubba, Hubba! Three kinds of people. Just do it! Get on the Hill! Son of a bird dog. Pizza. It’s a long way from your heart. Twenty-one counties. The living legend. Don’t quit. Thirty-two to six. Yes we can! Couragedo. Watch out for the crazies!
