Diane,
We had been away in January, we just learned today when we were in town hall of Jay's passing. We want you to know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May you find peace with family and friends who surround you. Your presence and friendship sharing adventures together on Friday nights through the years will always be in our memory.

Your family is in my prayers. Jay was a voice of reason on Council and a true joy to work with. For the last 25 years I would see Jay in AC or at the Family festival and he was always a pleasure to speak with. He was a walking encyclopedia of money prices but would rather talk about family. As a young man Jay was a true mentor to me. He will be missed.

I was saddened to learn from Bob Peck that Jay was in distress and further saddened to have just seen Bob's most recent message. It seems that the list of those of us still here is getting shorter than those who have moved on. I have a fond memory from fifty years ago of Jay, Bob, and I standing under a bridge in Syracuse, all full of beer, and shouting at the top of our lungs into the night for no reason at all except that we could. Take care, Diane, and know that we were all in good company when we were with you and Jay!
