Obituary of Erasmo Junior Carmona

FUNERAL SERVICE FRIDAY, JANUARY 5, 2018 AT 11AM AT THE FUNERAL HOME
VISITATION WILL BE FRIDAY, JANUARY 5, 3:30-7:30PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
INTERMENT WILL BE PRIVATE
Erasmo “Junior” Carmona unique, one of a kind, teacher, super jock and coach, passed away watching TV after a short walk-run on a very cold day 12/28/17. He was born 12/2/1954 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He settled in Dover as a teen-ager, and graduated from Dover High School class of 1973. He remained an incredible athlete and coach of baseball, wrestling, golf, softball, basketball, volley ball, X country, bowling and soccer. He was currently teaching Health and Physical Education in the New Brunswick Public School System, and Golf with The First T Program. He played on numerous championship teams in baseball and softball. The IAC Conference High School Baseball Championship 1973 Dover team. He played baseball for County College of Morris and Trenton State College. The MSBL Fall Classic Champions with the NJ Reds 2004,2006,2016 and USOTB League champions 2013. Men's 10 man Modified Soft Ball National Championship1985. Played with the NJ Dodgers in the Roy Hobbs Fall Tournaments, he played for numerous Morris County baseball teams and softball teams including the Morris County Major League. He earned a Calloway Hole in One on 7/6/2017. He took into his home numerous relatives, friends and some strangers when they had no place to stay. He is beloved husband of Wendy Carmona, and beloved father to his children India, Isaac and Ivana Carmona. Parents Erasmo Carmona Sr. of Dover and Maria Garcia of Florida. Brother of Luis(Willy) Carmona and Wife Delia Carmona of Dover, Iris Paraza and Gloria Matias of Florida, Margarita Orozco-Garcia of Puerto Rico, Diana Carmona of CA, Mark Carmona of CA. Nephews Willy and Slugger Carmona. Nieces Allyson Huron and Andy Huron.
Visitation Thursday, January 4, 2018, 4:00-8:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph. Funeral Service Friday, January 5, 2018, 10:00AM also at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
