Howard was a friend to all......always happy, always upbeat and always the quintessential Scientist. He hired my son Thomas Zega as an intern at AlliedSIgnal while Tom attended school at Rutgers U. Dr. Liebermann always told him, that education comes first and everything else is second. Howard Liebermann took my son under his wing and taught him a lot about metals, and materials science. Tom Zega graduated from Rutgers University, got a job at Engelhard Metals (Iselin, NJ) and later earned his PhD from Arizona State University - Phoenix. Upon graduating, Tom accepted a job with the US Dept. of Defense in Materials Science where he worked for 9 years. He is now a Professor/Researcher for University of Arizona -Tucson. He remembers Dr. Liebermann well and will always be thankful for his association with him. On behalf of myself and my son Dr. Tom Zega, I thank you Howard.... for giving a young kid a chance!

Dear Liebermann family, With a great sorrow I learned that Howard passes away. I am deeply indebted to him for teaching me the English scientific writing, sharing together our realistic view on Life we both had, and unusual in the Corporate America helpful and positive supervision that was unique among all that I encountered in my long professional life. He was indeed a Boss one can only dream about, it was a great pleasure to work for and with him. He was a very brave Man fighting such a bad and long sickness continuing to be an active person all these years. My deepest condolences to his family, Anatol Anatol Rabinkin, Ph.D. AWS Fellow

I have the pleasure of knowing the whole family for approx.20 years .they are all wonderful , caring people .Howard was indeed a strong , courageous man ,with a personality that made his family so amazing.Rest in peace !!!!
