Obituary of Alice O. Bennett

Mrs. Alice O. Bennett, 86, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 at her home. Resident of Rockaway Township since 1956. Mrs. Bennett was born in Queens Village, NY. She graduated Hofstra University in 1945, where she was a member of Wreath and Foil Sorority, and was also a chearleader. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother for pack #14 of Dover. She was also a substitute teacher for Rockaway Township. She loved swimming at the West Morris YMCA. She us survived by her husband of 64 years, Joshua "Jack" Bennett. Also survived by her sons: Joshua H. and his wife Patricia of Hershey, PA., Jeffrey and his wife Colleen of Oak Ridge, and Jordan P. of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren: Amanda, Christopher, Joshua, Madison, Kristin, and Jennifer; her niece, Suzan Heybroek, and her dog, Jabie. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2010 from 2:30-4 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com), followed by a Memorial Service at 4 PM.
