Obituary of Donald Bostrom

Donald Bostrom, 81, of Randolph, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown. Don served as a teacher in Okinawa, Japan for the Department of Defense 1967-1968. He was a former History Teacher and Cross Country Coach at Dover High School. He then became a Guidance Counselor at Randolph High School retiring in 2001, after 41 years. While there he established the swim team, eventually leading them to their first State Championship. He also ran the Adult School Program and summer recreation programs for over 10 years. He has been actively involved in the operation of the family farm, Sun High Orchards, since it began in 1945. He worshiped at Bethlehem Church in Randolph his whole life. Don loved his family, photography, the Cubs and dedicated his life to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He is survived by Joann, his wife of 56 years; two children Brenda Torster of Randolph and Chris of Wheaton, IL; five grandchildren, Bjorn, Mason, Kayla, Blake, Mia and two brothers Fred of PA, and Bill of Co.
Visitation Monday, January 23, 2017 from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Bethlehem Church, Randolph followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 PM, there will be a reception following at 7:00PM.
Graveside Service Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 12:00 PM Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
