Anita M. Smith, 89, of Chatham, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017, at Center for Hope and Palliative Care, after a long illness.
Anita was born and raised in Maplewood and was a resident of Murray Hill since 1961.
Anita was a dog lover.
She is survived by her daughter Penelope "Penny" Robbins and her husband Rodney of Randolph and two grandchildren Jason and Jennifer. She is predeceased by her husband Phillip H. in 1987.
Memorial Service at Old Glory Restaurant, New Providence, at 3:30 PM on Sunday, January 22, 2017.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to: American Cancer Society, Eastern Division, Inc., Attn: Memorial Processing Center 6725 Lyons Street, P.O. Box 7 East Syracuse, NY 13057.
