Obituary of Carl William Hvid

Carl “Sandy” William Hvid, Jr., 64, of Long Valley, passed away in SC, on Friday, January 6, 2017. Sandy was born and raised in Randolph and resided in Roxbury for 25 years before becoming a resident of Long Valley. He was the Owner of Sandys Crane Company, Flanders. Sandy was a member of the Ironia Fire Department Co. #4 since 1973 and was Chief of Company #4 from 1979-1980. He was also a member of the Hunterdon Hogs. The Muscular Dystrophy Association was close to his heart. He is survived by his two daughters Melissa Monnia of Randolph and Melanie Hvid-Cole and her husband Chris of Mine Hill; five grandchildren Matthew Ranucci, Geoffrey McGlashan, Kaitlyn Cole, Kayleigh Cole and Aiden Monnia and his girlfriend of five years Mary Browne. Memorial Visitation Wednesday, January 11, 2017, 3:00-5:00PM & 7:00-8:00PM with a memorial service beginning at 8:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (tuttlefh.com). Interment is private.
