Friday March 1, 2009 10:30 am Caroline B. Hofman Allentown, PA, Caroline B. Hofman died on March 14, 2009 after a long illness at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown, Pennsylvania. She was 94. Her late husband, Everett L. Hofman passed away in 1958. Caroline was born in Newark, NJ and was a longtime resident of Randolph, NJ after moving there with her family in 1947. She worked with her husband at their real estate office in Randolph and for the Morris County Extension Service before retiring in 1980. She was formerly a member of Randolph Senior Citizens and a parishioner of St. Matthew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Randolph. She was a volunteer for the St. Matthew's Youth CCD group and also participated in the Grandparent's Volunteer Reading Program at a local elementary school. Caroline also served as a Cub Scout Pack Leader in the 1950's. Survivors include her children: Edward and his wife Doris of Mendham, NJ; Robert and his wife Brenda of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; James and his wife Susan of Gettysburg, PA; and Thomas and his wife Karen of Easton, PA. Her surviving sister, Gertrude Falke resides in Garden City, SC. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph, NJ (www.tuttlefh.com) on Thursday, March 19th, 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday March 20th at the funeral home with interment immediately following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that contributions be made to The Giving Tree of Lehigh Hospice, 1247 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Suite 200, Allentown, PA 18103-9921.
