Ernestine Scharlat, 71, of Rockaway Township, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at Saint Clare's Hospital, Denville, following a long illness.
Ernestine was born in Boonton.
She was a Beautician by trade and Owner of Hair Shanty in Boonton for 10 years. She retired from Drug Fair in 2005. Ernestine was a beautiful person and considered a second mother by many.
She is survived by her husband Donald S., of 50 years; daughter Kerry Bruscia and her husband Cory and her son Lawrence and former wife Lisa Camelia. She is also survived by four grandchildren Max, Olivia, Anna and Nicholas; her sister Barbara Westlake and her husband Joseph and by her loving niece Kristine Westlake and her nephew Joseph Westlake
Memorial Visitation Saturday, December 10, 2016 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh,com) with a Memorial Service 4:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations are requested in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
