Obituary of Edith J. Weaver

Edith J (Nafus) Weaver, age 90, went to her heavenly home on November 26, 2016. She was born on August 30, 1926 in Trucksville, Luzerne County, Pa. where she met and married her husband of 73 years, Elmer W. Weaver. They owned a farm in Shickshinny until they moved to New Jersey in 1952. For many years they spent their summers in Pa. at a summer home on the Susquehanna River in Keelersburg. She was the daughter of William Edward and Myrtle Elizabeth (Wright) Nafus and was their last surviving child of nine. The Weavers raised their four children Eileen Harris (James), Louise Cole (Walter T), William Weaver, and Audrey Bozzi in Rockaway Township, NJ. Edie was a faithful member of Dover’s Grace United Methodist Church where she was the “Greeter” giving hugs to all who entered. She was an avid reader and loved to work puzzles. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother Besides her four children, she is survived by 7 Grandchildren; James, Michael and William Harris; Michelle Ketch, Gary Cole, Eric Bozzi and Erin Nau. Surviving are 13 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Visitation at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph, NJ (Tuttlefh.com) Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 10:00AM – 12Noon followed by a 12Noon Memorial Celebration conducted by Pastor Nancy Robinson. Graveside services will be private and held at a later date in PA. In lieu of Flowers, donations to the current expense fund of Grace United Methodist Church at 98 N. Sussex St, Dover, NJ 07801 would be appreciated.
