Obituary of Bridget Josephine Landers

Bridget Josephine Landers, of Rockaway Township, passed away peacefully Wednesday October 26, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Dromard, County Longford, Ireland to John Joseph and Bridget Donohoe, and was one of ten children, some of whom live in Ireland. She worked in Belfast, Ireland, and London, England before embarking to the U.S. Bridget wed William Landers, her husband of 50 years (deceased in 2001) and together raised six children while residing in Cresskill: William Landers, Marian (Bill) Moriarty, Peter (Kathy) Landers, Brian Landers, Joanne (Steve) Randolph, and Denise Landers. She is survived by six beautiful grandchildren. A most devoted wife, beloved mother and grandmother, and kind neighbor, Bridget’s charm and wisdom will be missed by so many. The family will receive friends from 2-6 PM on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church in Rockaway. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
