Obituary of Diane E. Clifton

Diane Elizabeth (Jeffery) Clifton, died Thursday, October 20, 2016. She was the only daughter of Fred and Gladys Jeffery, who predeceased her. She was the beloved wife of Donald Bourne Clifton who died on November 29, 2007. She leaves her adored daughters, Carrie Clifton Stein and Ann Blake Clifton. She is also survived by her devoted son in law, Howard M. Stein, and her beloved grandson, Jeffery Clifton Stein. Diane also leaves her beloved sister, Laura Alfonso of Baltimore, MD and nieces, Susan, Jennifer, Patricia, her god daughter, Elizabeth and her nephew, Steven. Diane graduated from Dover High School and was an Executive Secretary to three Superintendents for the Randolph Township School District. She retired from that position. She was a faithful member of St. Peters Episcopal Church, Morristown. She was a former vestry member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Dover and was Co-Directress of its Altar Guild. She loved her volunteer work at Hope House, Dover. Diane was an ardent lover of animals and it is her request that in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Friends of Randolph Animal Pound, Randolph Dept. of Health, Attention: Randolph Regional Animal Shelter, 502 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, NJ 07869. Funeral Service Monday, October 24, 2016, 10:30AM at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Morristown. Interment to follow at Sparta Presbyterian Methodist Cemetery, Sparta.
