Obituary of Joanne Byrne O'Connell

Joanne Byrne O'Connell, 73, of Madison, NJ, passed away peacefully at Morristown Medical Center on Monday, October 14th, 2013. Born in Greenfield, PA, Joanne had been a resident of Randolph, NJ since 1997 until her recent move to Madison, NJ. She celebrated her fiftieth wedding anniversary to her beloved husband Tom in July, 2011. She was a parishioner of Resurrection Parish, Randolph, NJ. Joanne was an avid reader throughout her life and loved to share her passion for history and science with friends and family alike. Joanne is survived by her four children: Bill and Jane, Mary Ellen DeNoon and husband Paul, Julie Corrigan and husband Bob, and Kate Sullivan and husband Joe. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Thomas, Erin, Michael, Grace, Joe, Maggie, Jack, Madeline, Patrick, Meghan and Colleen and her five sisters Marge Delaney, Jean Kohl, Teresa Miller, Jul Schaefer and Joan Ferer and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Tom and her brother Jack. Visitation is on Friday, October 18th, 2013, 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph, NJ (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 19th, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, Randolph, NJ (973-895-4224). In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her memory to the Community Soup Kitchen & Outreach Center, 36 South Street, Morristown, NJ 07960 (www.cskmorristown.org).
