Obituary of Veronica E. Van Buskirk

Veronica E. Van Buskirk, 91, of Dover, passed away following a short illness, Friday, September 9, 2016, at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover. She was born in Bowlbyville and has been a life-long resident of Dover. In her early years Veronica worked at the VA in Newark and later became a Secretary at Picatinny Arsenal, Rockaway from where she retired in 1990.
Veronica was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Dover, Catholic Daughters of America, Sacred Heart Leisure Club, NARFE and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved cooking and visiting with family and friends on her patio.
She is survived by her two children Mary Lowery and her husband Michael of Dover and Walter Kozlowski and his wife Suzanne of Downingtown, PA; step-son Bill VanBuskirk and his wife Christine of Largo, FL; four grandchildren Melissa (Ted) Contoleon, and Monique, Niki and Edward Kozlowski. She is also survived by her two sisters Agnes Pokluda of Mine Hill and Angela Goritski of Rockaway Township; her dear companion Harry Resh and many nieces and nephews. Veronica is predeceased by her two husbands Edward Kozlowski and William VanBuskirk; two sisters Mary Baptist and Ann Donationi and her grandson Mathew Lowery.
Visitation Sunday, September 18, 2016, 2:00-6:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass Monday, September 19, 2016, 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Parish, Dover. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
