Obituary of Joseph F. Dempsey

Joseph F. Dempsey, Jr. 73, of Randolph, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown. He was born in Morristown and has been a resident of Randolph for 50 years. Joseph was a lifetime member of the Randolph Fire Department, he was also past Department Chief and past Co. #3 Chief. He was President of the Co. #3 Association and Treasure for the Fire Department and Relief Association. Joseph was a member of the NJ State Fire Chiefs Judges Association. He is survived by Dorothy, his wife of 53 years; five children Michele Dempsey of Randolph, Dorothy Dee Scuteri and her husband Robert of Massapequa, NY, Sharon Dempsey of Randolph, Linda Dempsey-Hein and her husband Richard of Stanhope and Joy Dempsey of Mine Hill. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren Glen, Anthony, Tom, Briana, Lauren, Chance, Kyle, Wayne, Jackee, Josh, Jerry, Jesse and Charlie; one great grandchild Waylon; sister Mary Jo and sister-in-law Rhonda. Predeceased by his sister Denise. Visitation Saturday, July 16th, 2016, 2:00-6:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlfh.com). Funeral Service Sunday, July 17th, 2016, 10:00 AM also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Randolph Chemical Engine Co. #3, 670 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, NJ 07869.
