Obituary of Alice M Jones

ALICE LARSEN JONES 1923 - 2016 Alice Marion Larsen Jones, 93, passed away July 9, 2016 at Maplewood of Marshall in Marshall, Michigan. She was the younger daughter of Olaf and Ruth Larsen of Brooklyn, NY, where she grew up in Bay Ridge. Alice married her beloved husband, the late Howard W. Jones in 1947 and moved to Denville, NJ where she spent the majority of her life as a homemaker and small-business owner. Alice is survived by two sons who loved her very much, Warren (April) of Marshall, MI and Douglas (Sheila) of Gainesville, FL. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Austin, Zachary and Chelsea Jones of Gainesville and two granddaughters, Kelsey Elyea and Alexis Katz, of Marshall, MI. Alice was a devout Christian and long-time member of the Bethlehem Church in Randolph, NJ. For many years she and Howard owned the North Jersey Church & Sunday School Supply in Denville before retiring to Hendersonville, NC. A viewing will be held at the Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph, NJ 07869 on July 12, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. There will be a private burial beside her husband at the Arlington Cemetery in Kearny, NJ. The family wishes to thank all those who cared for Alice in her later years as her health declined. In lieu of flowers donations in Alice’s memory may be made to the Bethlehem Church, 785 Route 10, Randolph, NJ 07869.
