Obituary of Thomas P. Burns

Funeral Service on Tueday ,December 29th at 11:00am at the Bethlehem Church Thomas P. Burns, 89, of Jefferson Twp. passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at the Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clares Hospital in Dover. Mr. Burns was a longtime resident of Jefferson Twp. and the former owner and operator of the Burns Co. in Jefferson for 30 years.He was also a sign designer and painter. He was one of the eldest members of Bethlehem Church in Randolph, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher,Deacon and member of the Board of Trustees. He was also a playwright and sculptor. One of his works is on display at the Jefferson County Courthouse. He is survived by his stepson, Ernest Selser of OK, His brother, Patrick Burns of Bloomfield and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29. 2009 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Bethlehem Church, 758 State Route 10, Randolph,NJ 07869. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am also at the church. Interment is Private.
