Obituary of Harriet S. Furey

Harriet S. Furey, 93, of Mine Hill, passed away Saturday, July 2nd, 2016, at Saint Clare’s Hospital, Dover. She was born in Newton in 1922 and has been a resident of Mine Hill for many years. Harriet worked as a Key Punch Operator at Picatinny Arsenal, Rockaway and retired in 1989. She was a member of the Dover Pearl Chapter.
Harriet is survived by her dear friends Helen and William Gomez and their children Samara and Jason; nephew Charles Deremer of Stroudsburg, PA and niece June Botfeld of Tampa, FL. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1967, and her brother Charles Edward Deremer.
Visitation Friday, July 8th, 2016, 10:00AM-11:00AM with a service beginning at 11:00AM, at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Joseph’s Indian School, P.O. Box 326, Chamberlain, SD 57326.
