Obituary of Clifford W. Giampietro

Clifford W. Giampietro, 74, of Succasunna, passed away Tuesday, June 21st, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, following a long illness. Clifford was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He formerly resided in Middletown, NY and he has been a resident of Succasunna for 28 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Clifford worked as a Police Officer for New York City, New York., and he retired in 1984 after 20 years. He loved playing games, including cards, chess, checkers, horseshoes and pool. He played table tennis for the NY P.B.A.. He also enjoyed gardening, traveling, fishing and crabbing, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family. Survived by Louise (nee Yodice), his wife of 54 years; four children Carmela Catizone and her husband Pietro of Randolph, Cynthia Vandenberg and her husband Richard of Stony Brook, NY, Jeanine Giampietro of Panther Valley and Clifford and his wife Diana of Riverside; ten grandchildren P.J., Louie, Matthew, Daniel, Ricky, Haley, Michael, Nathaniel, Catherine and Benjamin. He is also survived by two brothers Ronald and his wife Marylin of Keyport and Russell of Sparta, TN and his uncle Paul of Greenwood Lake, NY. Visitation Sunday, June 26, 2016, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass Monday, June 27, 2016, 10:00 AM at St. Therese R.C.
