Leonard L. Peterson, 85, of Randolph, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 21st, 2016, at Brightview, Randolph. Leonard was born in Joliet, IL and has resided in Irvington, Parsippany and Lauderdale by the Sea, FL.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a National Sales Manager for Burry Biscuit Co./Quaker Oaks, Elizabeth for 29 years and then went on to be a Consultant in the Dairy/icecream industry.
Leonard was an avid Yankee and Giants fan. He enjoyed golfing, jig-saw puzzles and Sudoku. He loved Summers in Cape May and was beloved by all who met him. Leonard was an elder in both Kitchell Presbyterian and Community Church, always an active volunteer for anyone in need.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta, of 63 years; three children Kathy D’Ambrosio and her husband Skip of Jefferson Township, Nancy Gabriele and her husband Phil of Fair Oaks, CA and David and his partner Jose Mineros, Jr. of San Francisco, CA; her daughter-in-law Antoinette Peterson of Succasunna; seven grandchildren Amber Lynn, Kyle, Matthew, Tyler, Stephen, Nicole and Sarah; two great-grandchildren Colbie Rae and Connor; and great-niece Vanessa. He is predeceased by his son Michael in 2012.
Visitation Tuesday, May 24th, 2016, 2:00-4:00PM and 7:00-9:00Pm at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Service Wednesday, May 25th, 2016, 11:30AM, also at the funeral home. Interment is private.
