Obituary of Phyllis E Phelps

Phyllis Eileen (Weaver) Phelps, 84, loving mother and grandmother Phyllis E. Phelps passed away, Monday, May 2, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown. She was born in Dover, lived in Sussex for four years when she got married, and moved back to Dover in 1965. She lived the rest of her life in Dover. She graduated from Dover High School and worked at McGregor’s in Dover for eleven years. She started Sunday School at age three at First United Methodist Church in Dover and became a Sunday School Teacher at age eighteen and was a teacher until 1961, when she got married. Phyllis was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She loved bingo and bowling. Predeceased by her husband John in 2007. She is survived by three sons Frederick and his wife Tami, and their children Kristen, William, Amanda and April of Hampton, NJ, son William of Blairstown, and son John of Oak Ridge. Also survived by her sisters Charlotte Harper, Katherine Van Hine and her husband John, and her brother Kenneth Weaver and his wife Betty. Interment at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
