David G. Warner, 78, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the New Jersey Fireman's Home in Boonton. He was born and raised in Kenvil and moved to Dover in 1959,where he lived until moving to Boonton in 2012. David worked as a Supervisor with the Dover Water Department, retiring in 1999 after 32 years. He joined the Dover Fire Department in 1962 and served as Department Chief in 1980. He was also a member of the Dover Rescue Squad, where he was a past captain. David was a lifetime member of both the New Jersey State Fireman's Association and the New Jersey Exempt Fireman's Association. He loved fishing at Sodus Point, NY on Lake Ontario and at Pulaski, NY on the Salmon River. David is survived by his daughter Debra Miller and her husband Robert of Kenvil, his son, Scott and his wife Ann Marie of Dover, his three grandchildren, Kari, Kimberly and Kurt and his brother, John Warner and his wife Shirley of Rogersville, TN. He was predeceased by his wife Priscilla in 2015. The visitation will be on Wednesday, April 27,2016 from 3 PM to 8 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph (www.Tuttlefh.com). The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM, also at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to: The Dover Fire Department, PO Box 389, Dover, NJ 07801.
