Obituary of Richard Dennis Ostrander

Richard Dennis Ostrander, 68, of Randolph, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, March 11, 2016. Rich grew up in Bergenfield and lived many years in Budd Lake. He was a buyer for Woolworth Corporation in NYC, finishing his career as a store opener for AC Moore & Michael's. Rich was an avid sports fan; his favorite teams were the Steelers and Yankees. He also really enjoyed wildlife and dogs. Rich served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he received the Bronze Star Medal with Valor device. He is survived by his son, Christopher and his wife Karen of Morris Plains, his two granddaughters, Hailey and Ashley, his sister, Joyce Fazekas of Bushkill, PA and his former spouse Alice Carpenter of Southport, NC. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph (www.Tuttlefh.com) followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00AM, also at the Funeral Home.
