Obituary of Stanley Buchanan

Stanley Buchanan, 76, of Jefferson, passed away, at his home, Sunday, February 28th, 2016, following a short illness. Stanley was born and raised in Mitchell County, N.C., and has been a lifelong resident of Jefferson. He served in the U.S. Air Force during Peacetime. He worked as a Carpenter for the Karnell Group. Stanley loved being a part of the Rockaway Assembly of God Church, Rockaway and he also loved his dog Toby. He is survived by Laurel, his loving wife of 58 years; four children Dan Buchanan, Jenny Arancio, Joni Schimmer and Harold Buchanan; six grandchildren Rachel and Sarah Buchanan, Justin and Ryan Michalski and Megan and Matthew Schimmer. He is also survived by his brother Ted Buchanan and his sister Joan Keim. Visitation Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016, 3:00-5:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Service Thursday, March 3rd, 2016, 10:00AM, also at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
