Obituary of Robert Valentine Brembs

Robert Valentine Brembs, 97, of Randolph, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in the Bronx in 1927, Volunteered at the age of 17 to help the WWII efforts in 1944 for the Merchant Marines. Years later when the Korean War began, he again served his country with the Army for 2 years.  After returning home he started working with Nabisco and soon after that he met and married the love of his life Joan Melling in 1957. They bought their first house and started their family in Syosset NY with the Birth of Christine in 1964 and Robert in 1965 they lived there until 1975 eventually moving to Randolph NJ due to Nabisco moving to East Hanover. He worked with Nabisco for nearly 40 years until his retirement. Upon his retirement he picked up golf and became an avid player, however his golf game slowed down a bit when his 3 grandkids where born.  Abbigail in 2000, Cole in 2002 and Ashley in 2006. He absolutely adored his grandkids, and they loved being around him.  Bob and Joan lived the rest of their lives happily together until Joan's passing in 2020 (Married 63 years)

Bob enjoyed being a member of Randolph VFW post 7333 holding many positions with them including post commander.

He will be missed by all who knew him and his family who loved him.
