Obituary of Margaret DePaola

Margaret "Peggy" DePaola, 63, formerly of Randolph NJ, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Newark, NJ to the late Leonard and Mary Petrauskas. She is survived by her beloved husband of 29 years, Al DePaola Jr., her loving daughters, Kimberly Frustol and husband Glen, Christina Witter and husband Heath, Laura DiCataldo and husband Chuck, Cara DePaola, her cherished grandchildren, Joel, Niyah, and Malakai, her brother Leonard Petrauskas, and her extended family and dear friends. Peggy’s greatest joys came from raising her four daughters, Kim, Christina, Laura, and Cara, to whom she was a loving, caring, and exceptional role model. Peggy enjoyed the quality time she spent with her grandchildren, and being their “Nana” was the best gift life could give. The most beautiful woman we knew with the biggest heart we’ve ever seen will be remembered by many. She was a strong woman who always had her arms wide open, spreading her cheer, peace, kindness, love of God, and wisdom to everyone she knew. She has blessed so many people’s lives along her way. Possessing a servant’s heart, Peggy was a generous and compassionate person; she always listened to people, never left anyone out, and always put the needs of others above her own. Receiving a nursing degree from County College of Morris, she had a real passion for serving the people God put in her path. This translated into years of volunteering in countless ministries of the church helping impact many, many lives. Peggy was a wise woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love, knowing she would be with Him after her passing. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00PM and from 7:00 to 8:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 NJ Route 10, Randolph, NJ with a funeral service to follow beginning at 8:00pm.
