Michael Thomas Sonzogni

Port Saint Lucie, FL – Michael, beloved husband, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Michael was raised in Oradell, NJ, where he developed lifelong friendships and cherished memories. A dedicated student, he went on to graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University, earning a Masters Degree in Taxation, which led to a successful and fulfilling career as a CPA, MST.

Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Linda M. Sonzogni (nee Charnitski), who was the love of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa and her husband Giuseppe Caruso, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who adored him dearly.

A man of many passions, Michael was an avid golfer and skier who loved the outdoors, the warmth of the sun, and cherished vacations in Italy with family.  Known as the family’s finest cook, he had a deep love for food and delighted in sharing his culinary creations with those he loved. His kindness, generosity, and zest for life left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Mildred and John J. Sonzogni Sr. as well as his brother, Dr. John J. Sonzogni Jr.
