Obituary of Joseph Remick

Joseph “Joe” Remick, age 63, passed away peacefully at St. Clare’s in Dover on Monday, October 14, 2024 while surrounded by his partner and four children. A true lover of life, Joe embraced every moment with an infectious enthusiasm that inspired those around him.

Joe was born in Passaic, and lived in Rockaway, New Jersey for most of his life. He founded JR’s Laundry Machinery in 1989 and later on owned and operated Mickron Industries. Joe knew how to work hard, but more importantly, knew how to reap the benefits of his hard work. Whether it was trips to Ocean City, Maryland, cheering on the Jets from tailgate parties, celebrating victories at Rangers and Yankees games, or indulging in his love for thoroughbred horse racing, Joe always valued the shared experiences with his friends and family far more than anything money could buy. He was also a passionate fisherman, classic rock enthusiast, and a lifelong baseball fan.

Joe was known for his love of laughter, having good times with others, and creating unforgettable moments. He never missed a chance to celebrate life, whether it was sharing a drink, staying at the table long after the restaurant closed, or dancing all night. He lived in the moment and encouraged others to do the same. In recent years, becoming a grandfather brought him immense joy. He will be deeply missed, and his memory will always be cherished by those who knew him.

He is survived by his four devoted children, Joseph Jr. and his companion Justyna, Jennifer and her husband Tzoni, Crystal and Monique, and his grandson, Peter Joseph, as well as his beloved partner of over 20 years, Shannon, her daughter Amanda and her husband Tylor, and their daughter, Ellie Anna. His spirit and zest for life will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. 

Visitation will take place between 4:00-8:00 PM on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph. A Funeral Service will occur on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, to begin at 1:00PM, located at Tuttle Funeral Home, followed by a private interment. All who loved him are invited to share their memories, celebrate his life, and honor a man who truly knew how to live.
