Obituary of Jessica Reneé Campbell

Please share a memory of Jessica to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jessica’s life was cut so short. In the 35 years here on earth, she touched many in very special ways. Her light and her heart were visible to anyone that met her. Always with a smile, she opened herself to everyone and made us all feel very special. That was just Jessie!

Family was everything to her. Starting with her relationship with her Dad. Their bond was very special, beyond a traditional father/daughter one. Her love of animals and particularly horses came from him and was their special bond between them.  His passing affected her deeply and she never really moved on. She didn’t want him forgotten and she missed him deeply. Her love for him never waned.

Jessica’s foundation of strength, her safety net, came from her mother. From the day she was born, Jenny cared for her every need. It was not her “duty” as a mother but her passion and her love of her daughter that gave Jenny the strength to support Jessie through thick and thin. Times were not always rosy, as being a parent is never easy. You see, Jessie was smart and stubborn, a great combination. But Jessie knew she could always count on her mother to support her, not judge her, and to help her move forward.  You were her rock, Jenny!

When Jenny remarried, and a new family was introduced, Fred immediately saw Jessica as his own daughter and loved her as one. They of course had their moments, and I can remember Jessica’s catch phrase, “Oh Fred!” or “that’s just Fred!”

Her bond with her new brother Jason was immediate. Through their teens and into adulthood they shared everything. We could all see they had something special, shared between only them. They supported each other over the years confiding in each other, supporting each other in only a way that Brother and Sister can. I don’t know much about what they shared with each other. But I do know this was a great comfort to Fred & Jenny, knowing that their kids had each other to lean on when your parents probably are the last ones you’d want to share with. I also know that Jay held a very special place in Jessie’s heart.

Her family circle is a big one. I can go on forever. Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews were all very important to Jessica. I don’t know all your stories or your special moments, but I know for sure you all have them.  That was Jessica, that was her Super Power, she touched us all, and made us feel special. Thanks Jessica Renee!

Jessica will live in the hearts of her family including her parents, Fred and Jenny Shubert, her brother Jason and sister-in-law Jessy Shubert and nieces Jaymie and Jordyn; and sister Jacqueline Montanaro (predeceased) and nieces Madelyn (predeceased) and Elena.

On her maternal side, she will be remembered by her grandparents, Joseph and Barbara Williams and the many aunts and uncles and cousins including Joseph and Renie Williams, Stephanie and Joab Stieglitz; cousins Taylor and Mel, Keith and Vanessa, Karlie and Dom, Madison and Eric, and Brandon.

On her paternal side she was predeceased by her father, Thomas Campbell, grandparents Vincent Campbell and Maryann Campbell (predeceased).
