Obituary of Sue Cahill

Please share a memory of Sue to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sue Cahill, beloved mother, devoted wife, and cherished friend. On July 20, 2024 Sue passed at the age of 73 just weeks after losing her dear husband, Robert J. Cahill. Together, they shared a lifetime of love and created a legacy of warmth and kindness that will endure in the hearts of all who knew them.

Born on November 30, 1950 Sue exemplified strength, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to her family and passions.
In September of 1970 Sue (nee-Findlay) married Bob and they settled in Randolph where they raised their two children, Michael and Colleen.
After working tirelessly to support her family, she pursued her dream of higher education while working full time. She graduated from the College of St. Elizabeth with a BA in Business Administration then moved on to earn an MBA from Fairleigh Dickerson University. Sue took great pride in her role as Information Technologies Manager at Tiffany & Co. for over 20 years. One of Sue’s proudest accomplishments was having the opportunity to be an adjunct professor at the College of St. Elizabeth. Her classes were not merely lectures but transformative experiences, where she imparted not only academic knowledge but also instilled a deep sense of ethics and integrity in her students.
Her determination and dedication served as a beacon of inspiration to all who knew her.

In her garden, Sue found solace and joy. Her green thumb transformed even the simplest patch of earth into a vibrant oasis bursting with color and life. Her passion for gardening inspired all who visited, each bloom was a testament to her patience and dedication.
Sue's talents extended beyond the garden to the kitchen, where she worked her magic as a baker. Her homemade treats were legendary among family and friends, each recipe crafted with love and shared generously. From chocolate cupcakes, apple crisps, and lemon bars to the many cookie exchanges she hosted, her culinary creations brought joy to countless gatherings and celebrations.
Above all, Sue cherished her role as a mother and wife. Her children, Michael and Colleen, were the light of her life, and her love and support knew no bounds. Her warmth and wisdom guided her children through life's challenges, always offering unwavering support and encouragement. She shared a deep and loving partnership with her husband of 53 years, Bob, creating a home filled with laughter, joy, and cherished memories. Their reunion echoes the promise of eternal love, a testament to the enduring bond they shared.

Sue's departure leaves a void in our lives, but we take comfort in the memories she created and the love she shared. Her spirit will forever live on in the beauty of her garden, the aroma of her baking, and the warmth of her love in our hearts. Though we grieve her loss deeply, we find solace in knowing that Sue has left an indelible mark on our lives. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all. Her love for her family, her passion for life, and her kindness to others will live on forever in our hearts.

Sue is predeceased by her husband, Bob this past May. She is survived by her son Michael and his wife Melissa, daughter Colleen and her husband Tom, her grand-puppies Romeo and Tucker, her mother Doris Moore, and several nieces and nephews.
