Julius Scott was born in Clarksville, VA to the late Julius and Mary E. Scott on May 20, 1936. 

He departed his life July 3, 2024, at Pine Acres in Madison, New Jersey. 

Julius attended the public school system in Clarksville, VA. He served two years in the Army. In 1957, he traveled to NJ for work. He worked as a technician at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital. Later, he attended nursing school and obtained his Practical Nurses License. 

He joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Clarksville, VA at an early age. After moving to NJ, he joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dover. He was a member of the Trustee Board as long as his health allowed him to participate. He loved driving a bus to take church members to activities.

Julius worked full time at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital as a License Practical Nurse for 40 years. He also worked part-time in General Hospitals and drove buses for private companies.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Elnora; two sons Roderick Scott (Regina) of Orlando, Florida, and Jeffrey Scott of Rockaway, NJ;  a stepson, Rickey Wright (Ivey) of Flanders, NJ; his sister Amanda Marrow of Hyattsville, MD; one sister-in-law, Marie Wright of Hillside, NJ; four grandchildren: Tiffani (Chris), Tyler (Andrea), Jayden, and Julian; and one great grandchild, CJ.

Preceded in death by his parents, sister, and brother.
