Please share a memory of Mabel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mabel Roy, 72, of Rockaway NJ, passed peacefully on June 25,2024 in the presence of  the love of her life of the past 40 years , Linda Gallup at her bedside.

Mable was born in Newark NJ on April 23 , 1952 to Marcel Roy and Luella Ward.  She is survived by her sister Loraine Murray and husband Rich of Rockaway. a niece Jennifer, her husband and their children, and her nephew Richie, his wife and their children.  Mabel's career ranged from teaching physical education at St. Vincent's Academy in Newark to banking.

She was a friend to all, always smiling, joking and laughing, full of life and generous to all.

Her passions were jig-saw puzzles, dancing, and board games.  All who knew her can remember how excited she would be with her latest game at her many get togethers with friends.  She loved to volunteer, from the food pantry of her church, Trinity Lutheran, Dover, to equal rights political action movements in which she was highly invested.

She had a full life, well lived.
