Obituary of Maria D Marrero-Kirc

On Monday, June 24, 2024, Maria Marrero-Kirc passed away at the age of 73 after a long battle with Cancer.  Maria was born on June 13, 1951 in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico (however we celebrated her birthday on June 12th).  She and her family moved to Dover, New Jersey shortly thereafter.   Maria made her living as a successful Benefits Manager in the corporate world.  

She had a passion for travel and loved the beach.  In her free time, she enjoyed reading,  crocheting, and watching her favorite Soap Operas.    But what was most important to her, was spending time with her family.  The true matriarch.  She would bring the family together every week to enjoy good food, dancing in the kitchen, and always laughing. 

Maria was proceeded in death by her mother, Herminia Figueroa and loving husband, William Kirc. 

 She is survived by her children, Regina Costa-Smith, Christina West, Michael Kirc and his wife, Carmela.  Her siblings, Ralph Marrero, Ana Espino, and Luis Figueroa.  Her grandchildren, Joseph Smith, Christopher West, Brianna West, and Emilia Kirc.  And several beloved nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, play “Maria” by TKA and dance in your kitchen and visit Aruba at least once in your lifetime.
