Obituary of Renate G. Frailey
Renate G. Frailey, 71 of Otego, NY, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 30, 2024, where she was being cared for by her loving daughter and son in law, Shawnee and Eric from Randolph, NJ. She was born 10/31/1952 in Duisburg, West Germany to the late Erich and Hildegard Ernst. She is predeceased by her loving and dedicated husband Mark Edward Frailey Sr in 2007 (known as “me Ol”). The late Mark Frailey Sr. and Renate were married on June 2, 1978.
Renate is survived by her four children Shawnee and her husband Eric Fucito of Randolph, NJ; Heidi and her husband Tom Frederick of Florence, SC; Kerri Frailey of Otego, NY and Mark Frailey Jr. also of Otego, NY; sixteen grandchildren who were her world Scott and Alyssa Waters, Maia, Addison, and Lukah Fucito, Thomas, Lindsay, and Christopher Frederick, Gabriel, Olivia, Matthew, Masen, and Kamden Frailey, Rachel, Makenna and Liam Frailey. She is also survived by her three siblings Hannelore and her husband Ronald Yager, Dan Ernst and his life long partner Randy Bitters and Herbert Ernst; as well as many other loving family members and friends. Renate was also an avid dog lover and was survived by her three dogs Lulu, Vern and Todo.
Renate was a graduate from Unatego Jr./ Sr. High School. She worked for and retired from SUNY Oneonta as the Athletic Support. Renate loved spending time with all of her grandchildren and was the Queen of BBQ’s. Spiedie chicken and pasta salad were amongst her top specialities.
The family would like to thank the staff at Atlantic Health for their compassion and dedication to Renate’s care. Of special mention are Dr. Dimitri (pulmonology), Dr. Stephen Williams (ID and Wound Care), Dr. Doss (Palliative Care), Rebekah Salisbury, NP (PCP) and Dr. Goldberg (Radiation Oncology). The family would also like to thank Dr. Rahul Sood, pain management.
Memorial contributions may be made in Renate’s name to the ASPCA.
Renate will be missed by all of her family, and we are grateful for the time that we had to spend with her.
All arrangements are private by Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph NJ. A private graveside memorial will take place at a later date.
