Obituary of Joan Fleisch Mills

Joan Fleisch Mills, 84, passed away after a long illness on January 20, 2016 at the Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover. She was born to the late Louis and Eleanor Fleisch in Topeka, KS, on February 24, 1931. She graduated from Hayden High School in Topeka in 1948. She lived in Dayton, OH for a time. In 1963 she married Leo F. Mills of Randolph, and remained in New Jersey for the rest of her life. Her interest were her basset hounds, sewing and crafts, and she became an active parliamentarian. In the late 80's and early 90's she was vice president of the New Jersey Society of Parliamentarians. Joan is survived by three nephews; Joe Parent of Nashua, NH, Lou Parent of Leesburg, VA, and Mark Parent of Franklin, MA, and a niece, Laura Parent Berkholtz of Sun Prairie, WI. She is preceded in death by her husband, and her sister, Carolyn Parent. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Dover at 10:00AM on Friday, January 29, 2016.
