Obituary of Michael C. Popovich

Michael Popovich, age 75, of Andover, passed away on September 10, 2023, at House of the Good Shepherd in Hackettstown. He was born in Morristown to the late Michael and Ruth Popovich.

Michael was a member of the second graduating class of Randolph High School in 1966.  He was the first member of his family to graduate from college in 1970 from Rutgers, New Brunswick. Once starting graduate school Michael was drafted to the Army and served from 1971 to 1973. He was sent to the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. As an enlisted instructor in the academic computer center. Later going on to graduate from Newark College of Engineering in 1974 with a master’s degree in computer science. Michael worked for the County of Morris, Division of Technology for 36 years prior to his retirement.

 He had a deep connection to God with the guidance of Pastor Underwood and his study into science, causing him to realize how carefully the world had been created.

He is survived by his sister Judy and her husband Chuck Naomi, his nephews and their wives Joe Naomi, Mike and Lisa Naomi, Dan and Lori Naomi, and his grandnephews Michael, Jack, Charlie, Ethan, Tommy, Luke, and Joe.

Visitation Wednesday, September 13, 2023, 10am to 12pm with a funeral service starting at noon at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10 Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com).

In lieu fo floweres dontations in his memory may be made to: St Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
