Obituary of Marilyn D Madison

Marilyn D. Madison, 92, of Sparta, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Sunrise Assisted Living, Morris Plains, NJ, previously from Springfield, NJ.  She was born in Newark, NJ to the late Joseph and Genevieve Fuller.  Marilyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank H. Madison Jr. 

Marilyn was a graduate of Upsala College and went on to have a fulfilling profession as an elementary school teacher for the Union Board of Education in Union, NJ. While teaching, Marilyn went to Kean College and completed 2 Master's Degrees to enhance her teaching.  Upon her retirement 27 years ago, she found her passion in creating some beautiful quilts. She did some volunteer work with St. Hubert's animal shelter and Overlook Hospital.  

She  is survived by her daughter Cynthia J. Madison and her partner Michael Curtis, son John D. Madison and his wife Mary Ann as well as her beloved dog Sky, her grandcat Amber Madison and cousins and nieces.

Memorial Visitation will held on Thursday, August 17, 2023, from 3:00-7:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 6:15PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Hubert's Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 159, 575 Woodland Avenue, Madison, NJ  07040.
