In accordance with God's plan, we find solace in knowing that Angelica, a beacon of kindness and love, has transitioned to her heavenly abode. As Uncle Mark Garruto expressed his affection for her, he too seeks comfort in Jesus's words.
The priest recited John 14:1-4 during the wake and John 14:1-6 at the church service— these show that Angelica will enjoy eternal life and safely rests in the arms of Jesus.
Here is what the priest said:
Jesus Comforts His Disciples
14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

I'll always remember being on the Tyra Banks show with Angelica and a few others from school.
Angelica was just as beautiful on the inside as she was out. Her faith and strength inspired me very much. May she rest in peace.

Angelica and I were neighbors throughout our childhood. She was one of the first friends I ever had. Angelica taught me so many things, such as, how to ride my bike without training wheels, that it’s ok to be silly, and the true meaning of friendship. I will forever value the memories we had together.

Angelica and I were childhood best friends from St. Christopher. I will forever cherish all of our beautiful memories together. We spent many weekends and sleepovers together hanging out and singing karaoke and making dances to songs together. She is a beautiful person and has a wonderful family. My deepest sympathy to her family. Sending love and prayers their way. She will be forever in our hearts.

Angelica was always like a sister to me. I remember having so many sleepovers catdog style watching our favorites. She always loved The Notebook, and we also enjoyed terrible dating shows like Rock of Love. I’m so happy she found her rock Chris!
We had so many adventures together. Some of my favorites were down the shore at her grandparents home. I think she especially enjoyed our senior prom weekend there.
It’s the little things I will miss most about my Jelly Bean. We enjoyed waking up on the weekends and her mama making tea milk for us. As adults we ended up working together at Dr. Masi’s and after work we had some traditions like thirsty Thursday. We’d continue our day together after work enjoying wine and cheese.
We were each other’s first phone call when something good or something bad would happen. I remember calling her to say I was pregnant! I know she always wanted to meet baby Eve. I wish in this life time we could have both had kids together. We always said we’d make them become best of friends.
She was taken from us too young. It is a tragedy but at least I know she is no longer in pain, and that she went peacefully in her sleep. I know Angelica is with her mom now and that brings a smile to my face. I loved you both very much and will see you ladies in heaven.

We met when we were 13 and our bond was instant we were together every day. You were my best friend — so many of the firsts in my life were with you by my side. Although we went separate ways during high school we always had so much love for each other throughout the years. We grew together in so many ways. I can’t thank you enough for showing me how beautiful I was inside and out when I was so insecure. Your laugh was always contagious, and your dance moves were the best. I’ll think about you every time I’m down the shore— one of the reasons I have so much love for the shore is from our memories there over the years.
You’re in my life daily when I listen to our songs, that now my sons know and sing along with me. I will miss you and I love you forever Jel.
