Obituary of Bernadette A. Hill

Bernadette A. Hill (nee DeCristofaro) passed away peacefully at home on June 17, 2023.

She was born on April 6, 1947 to Laura and Bernie DeCristofaro, Sr. and lived in Dover for the early years of her life.

She met her future husband, Jim, when they were 16 years old; they were married in 1968. Together they had a daughter Kim and a grandson Devan who were the lights of her life.

She attended All Souls Nursing School in Morristown and graduated in 1968. As a registered nurse she spent most of her career working at Saint Clare’s Hospital, first at Denville in the. Med Surg and NICU units and then at Boonton on the Detox unit.

Bernadette enjoyed shopping, antiquing, and taking care of the people around her. She had a heart of gold, always thought of others, and loved finding the perfect gift for any occasion. 

She was predeceased by her daughter, Kimberly Saul. She is survived by her husband James Hill, grandson Devan Saul, brother Bernie DeCristofaro, Jr., and sister Mary Ann Guilmette.

 

A visitation will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery in Succansunna at 10:30am.

Those wishing to go in proccession may meet at the Funeral Home at 10am.

In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in Bernadette’s memory.
