Obituary of Rev. George A Dudak

Father George, as he was known to all, was born to George S. and Mary M. Dudak in 1931 in Hibernia, New Jersey.  He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Rita M. Dwyer.  He is survived by his sister Mary Ann Dudak, and his brother, Dr. Michael Dudak, and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, and cousins.

His early education was at the Hibernia Grammar School in Hibernia, New Jersey.  He subsequently attended Bayley High School in Morristown, New Jersey, St. Charles School in Baltimore , Maryland where he studied Greek and Latin, Seton Hall College in South Orange, New Jersey, and Darlington Seminary in Mahwah, New Jersey.

He was ordained a priest on May 26, 1956.

He served in the following parishes: Our Lady of Mercy, Whippany, New Jersey, St. George’s Parish, Paterson, New Jersey, La Sagrada Familia, Ica, Peru, and Our Lady of the Mountain in Schooley’s Mountain, New Jersey.  During his retirement, he served as Parochial Vicar at Resurrection Church in Randolph, New Jersey.

He went to the Lord on Friday, May 26, 2023.

Visitation: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Our Lady of the Mountain Parish, Long Valley.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM on Friday, June 2, 2023 also at the Parish.
