Obituary of Arnold Joseph D'Andrea Jr.

Arnold Joseph D’Andrea Jr, known to his loved ones as Arn, Arnie, Dad, or Pop-Pop, passed away on April 30th, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born on October 7th, 1941, in Boonton, NJ to Dorothy Mae Rivers and Arnold Joseph D’Andrea Sr.

Arnold was a talented and accomplished drummer who played with countless legendary artists over the years. He was also a proud Air Force veteran who traveled the world and met with multiple U.S. presidents. Arnold had an uncanny ability to make others laugh with just a few words or brighten their day with an unexpected and genuine compliment. He took great pleasure in simple things, such as chocolate and coffee, Jersey tomatoes, classic TV, and, above all, being with his family.

Arnold is survived by his four children and their spouses: Lisa and Rick Calanni, Joe and Amber Kortbawi, Aimee and Rob LeVance, and Dan and Stephanie D'Andrea; his eleven grandchildren: Allyson, Jake, Alexa, Aiden, Emma, Hazel, Vivienne, Jared, Trevor, Avery, and Mia; his former wives: Roseann and Geraldine; and his four sisters and their spouses: Dorothy and Thomas Murray, Diane and the late Clifford Rutter, Danielle and John Leone, and Deborah and Dominic Addesso.

Arnold's family will host a memorial visitation service on Friday, May 12th, 2023, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the COPD Foundation at www.copdfoundation.org.

Arnold will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through his family and the many lives he touched through his music, his stories, and his kindness.
