Obituary of Janice Harriet Spikereit

Janice Harriet Spikereit, 76, of Largo, Fl, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Pinellas Park, FL. She was born in Yonkers, NY, to the late A. Lloyd Wnuck and Grace Beatrice Evjen.

Janice received her MBA from Mercy College. Some hobbies she enjoyed were gardening with her mother and sons, meditation, listening to audio books, watching murder mysteries and historical documentaries, and relaxing by her pool in Florida. She liked tarot card reading and crystals, and enjoyed spending time with her dog Coco. Janice worked as the Director of Financial Aid Services for Mercy College, NY. The PTA was one of Janice's passions. She was the President of Yonkers council of PTAs, and Assistant Director of Westchester PTA. She lobbied in Albany with the "Big Five" and served on various committees for the YCPTA. Janice also attended NY state conventions, trainings, and other various PTA functions. 

She is survived by her brother Kenny Wnuck; two sisters, Karen (Nina) Martin her husband Ken Martin, Barbara Schweighauser; the father of her children Manfred Spikereit; three sons, Erich Spikereit spouse Jen Spikereit, Kris Spikereit spouse Amy Spikereit, Gunter Spikereit spouse Jill Spikereit; seven grandchildren Jack Spikereit, Sam Spikereit, Matt Spikereit, Nick Spikereit, Gracie Spikereit, Dakota Spikereit, Leo Spikereit; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

Gathering for memorial visitation and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 2:00-4:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph NJ, 07869

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to John's Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida in Janice Spikereit's name.
