Obituary of Howard Squire

Howard C. Squire, 87, of Denville NJ passed away peacefully in his home on April 21, 2023 surrounded by his son and daughter.  Howard was born on Dover, NJ and was a proud, life-long resident of Denville.  Son of Ambrose Clayton Squire and Jane Leila Squire (Morris), Howard worked as a printer for the Daily Advance Newspaper for 37 years till they closed their doors.  Once they closed, he went back to school and received his real estate license and worked for Weichert Realtors up to his retirement.  After retiring, he loved spending time with his son restoring vintage tractors and going to Canada to fish.  Howard was a veteran in the U.S. Army and served his time during the Korean War.

Howard is predeceased by his wife Bettylee Squire (Bowman), older sister Dorothy (Squire) Grau and older brother Bob Squire.  Howard is survived by his daughter Leeann Jane Squire, son Clayton Scott Squire daughter-in-law Laura (Skoufis) Squire, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor and pay respect to him will be held at his beloved home 355 Franklin Road, Denville NJ 07834 between 12:00PM-4:00PM on Saturday May 20th.

Please also note on that day the flags in Denville will be flown at 1/2 mast in his honor.
