Obituary of Arne Olson

Please share a memory of Arne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Arne Olson, 86, of Randolph passed away on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015, at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, following a short illness. He was born in Coney Island, NY and has been a resident of Randolph since 1991, formerly of Hawthorne. Arne “Pop-Pops” will be sadly missed by family and friends. He loved spending time with his family at his shore house. He greeted you with his warm smile and usually had a joke to share. He was willing to help tackle a problem and could fix anything. That is what made him the special person we all loved. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He graduated Cliffside Park High School and then attended Stevens Institute. He worked as a Tool Designer for ITT Marlow Pumps, Midland Park and retired in 1983. He was a founding member the Edelweiss-Passaic, a German Folk Dancing Club and Bayern Verein- Newark. He was the accordionist for both clubs. He was also a member of the Randolph Seniors. He is survived by his daughter Kristina Ferraro and her husband Louis of Randolph; four grandchildren Elizabeth, Daniel and his wife Laura, Ryan and Andrew. Predeceased by his wife Janet in 2008 and his daughter Janet in 2013. Visitation Monday, December 28th, 2015, 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-8:30, with a service at 8:30, at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to ECLC Foundation, Litinger Endowment, 100 Passaic Avenue, Florham Park, NJ 07932.
